Responsive Web
Mental Health Site
Me and my classmates in IMS 222 were tasked with creating a mockup of a mental health site for Miami University. This page was to be a responsive website and contain information for individuals to learn more about tackling their mental health hurdles.
Process
Briefing and Research
The first thing in the project was the briefing, which was a memo from Miami University about the specifications and broad topics they wanted on their site. These topics consisted of broad ways of combatting common workplace anxiety, depression, and stress.
I researched more specific information on the methods they wanted to be shown on the site, as well as additional information we found to be useful.
Wireframing
My next step in the process of creating this project was to fabricate a wireframe for both a mobile and desktop version. I went for a fuzzy, warm, inviting, and easy-to-use layout, as this site was meant to help with bettering your mental health.
These wireframes had to work for any screen width, so I had to be smart about what I put where and made proper adjustments when going from a desktop to a mobile website (and vice versa).
Developing
After finishing my LoFi wireframe and selecting assets for my website, I got to work on developing my website. For this website, I used HTML to recreate the wireframe, and CSS to adapt the responsive web and make it more visually appealing.
